MOONBOY Ltd is an independent publishing company with offices in London and Paris. We specialise in official, high-quality, limited edition photo books on bands, performers and creative cultural movements, past and present. We work directly with photographers and, in most cases, the performers/bands themselves to create a unique insight with rare, previously unseen or unpublished photos.

Production is based in London and we use a long-established family-run printing firm, Empress Litho, to ensure consistently high production standards.

MOONBOY is delighted to announce the publication of Looking For Trouble – I want all you skinheads to get up on your feet *, featuring over 160 rare and previously unpublished images by photographer John Ingledew. A limited edition of 800 numbered copies, this evocative and insightful book covers different facets of the skinhead revival in Britain in the late 1970s.
Pre-sales starting the 16th of August, release date 3rd of November 2024.

The Cramps are one of the best loved bands to emerge from the US underground music scene of the 1970s; with their unique sound blending ’50s rock and obscure ’60s garage psychedelia they continue to gain new followers and inspire bands nearly 50 years after they first formed.
Photographer David Arnoff worked closely with them over a number of years and we are very excited to announce a forthcoming limited edition photo book featuring rare and previously unseen images taken in LA between 1979 and 1981 – the period surrounding their seminal first album, Songs the Lord Taught Us – follow us on Instagram for news and updates.

Photographer Paul Cox worked with Pete Burns and Dead or Alive from 1983 to 1990 producing incredible imagery for album and singles covers, promotional shoots and spreads for magazines as well some rare live shots from their 1985 Hammersmith Odeon shows. Moonboy has been collaborating with Paul to produce a beautiful photo book of rare and previously unpublished images – follow us on Instagram for news and updates.

Our first book, published in 2022 was ‘The Cure – Stills, based on the extensive archive of photographer Paul Cox, the band’s photographer of choice from 1979 to 1999. The book features a foreword and captions by Robert Smith with additional back-stories from Paul Cox and over 290 colour and black & white photos. In 2023 we published ‘New Romantics – From Billy’s to the People’s Palace with renown photographer Sheila Rock; the book featured 120 previously unseen images from London’s club scene in the late 70s and early 80s, with a foreword and commentary by fashion editor Dylan Jones.
